Testimonials BEAM Centre | Business in the Community NI

“A desk, broadband connection and good company. The perfect solution for my office requirements.I have been a desk camper at the BEAM Centre for nearly four years – time flies! These arrangements are ideal for my purposes – workspace and meeting rooms where I can meet with clients, easy access with free parking, and good company. A perfect solution for our business needs. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this facility much earlier.”
– Tom McQuillan, Marsh

“The idea of being your own boss and working from home may sound like a dream come true to many, but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Finding motivation when working solo can be difficult, and things can get a little lonely. So I jumped at the chance to desk camp in the modern BEAM Centre. The aesthetics of the site are fab: light, bright and airy. Meeting rooms and conference rooms are available upon request. Super-fast connectivity is at hand, which is super important, especially for an online business like the Wellness Seeker. Desk camping here is more than just a desk-sharing scheme . . . it’s a community for freelancers and start-ups to network and connect with the wider business community. It is a supportive, inclusive place where knowledge and resources are shared willingly.”
– Shauna Quigley, Owner/Manager, Wellness Seeker

“BEAM offered a modern, fresh open-planned office space, run by friendly and professional staff. Great office facilities with fast and reliable internet access, several meeting rooms and onsite car parking. I would definitely recommend BEAM to grow and develop your business.”
– Niall Doherty, Project Director, Evide

“I wish to convey my sincere thanks to Business in the Community and, most importantly, to all the staff at the Beam Centre for having looked after us during our stay there from 2013 until December 2015. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly accepted and felt very much at home, enabling us to carry out our business activities. The spacious, open-plan layout enabled our team to communicate with each other on business matters and to address customer needs more effectively than the single office space we had previously used. It was very important to our business to have a facility that allowed flexibility for customer visits, meetings, functions and personal space. The availability of a wide range of rooms for a variety of uses was pivotal in our decision to go there, and it remained that way throughout our tenancy. The facility was very well supported with other office technology and needs, ensuring we did not need to go elsewhere for business support. Having a free car park available ensured no additional business or staff costs were incurred. For a business to have all of these features incorporated would normally carry significant costs. School Employer Connections found the costs extremely competitive and great value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending the BEAM Centre to prospective tenants.”
– Owen Crozier, Manager, School Employer Connections

“The BEAM Centre has been instrumental in the success of STRIVE2WORK, one of Business in the Community’s employability programmes. The programme saw a 100% participant retention rate on each workshop, compared to 70% before we moved from the hustle and bustle of city centre learning. The calm surroundings and open spaces, with the opportunity to chill out in the hub, offered the participants the learning environment they required. One participant commented, ‘it was like a visiting a retreat’. BEAM is a real hidden gem and definitely makes coming to work delightful – no stress of finding a car parking space; you can then head to the Green Room for a coffee and a chat with colleagues, before taking on your day. Perfect!”
– Leanne Doherty, Employability Manager, Business in the Community

“BEAM has become an essential resource to the programme I deliver. The flexibility of the BEAM space means that it can be an office sanctuary or a hub of activity. There is ample space to hold events and to have team meetings, and the beautiful, contemporary open-office space encourages camaraderie from colleagues. Fellow Desk Campers are motivating and inspiring. I thoroughly recommend BEAM as a multi-functional office space with great parking, conference rooms, and kitchen facilities that ensure you have everything you need in the one complex. Whether you are a one-man enterprise or a small team, BEAM has everything you need to start up or grow.”
