The Circular Economy Members’ Network is a group of representatives from Business in the Community member organisations who want to find out more about how the principles of the circular economy can be applied to their organisations, hear about case studies, get involved in advocacy work to show support and promote the circular economy, and to inform Business in the Community’s circular economy work.
The next Circular Economy Members’ Network meeting will be held on 25th July to focus on political engagement on the circular economy.
Paul Kinkead OBE, Managing Director of Kinkead Consulting Services, will facilitate a discussion on the need for political engagement on the circular economy.
The circular economy is not for the business community to create alone; it requires the right legislative framework and the political will to see it through. With ongoing Brexit negotiations, and politicians from Northern Ireland likely to have a more influential role within the UK government, this meeting will be an opportunity for Business in the Community Members to create a circular economy “shopping list” for the NI Regional Assembly (or for a Direct Rule team in their absence).
