We’ll also be releasing future topics for the year ahead to help you plan out your engagement and wellbeing calendar for the year ahead.

So what’s available to you?

Transformational (Platinum) and Workplace members can avail of six sessions per year. Strategic members (Level 2), four sessions and Engaged members (Level 1) can take up to two sessions per year, subject to availability.

Please note, organisations are strictly limited to booking one session per topic area.  Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and we will compile a waiting list for fully booked sessions.

Dementia Friendly Communities, The Alzheimer’s Society

Understanding dementia is vital if we are to support the 20,000 people in Northern Ireland living with a form of dementia. Dementia doesn’t discriminate, every three minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed, but while there is no cure, people can and do live well with the condition. Alzheimer’s Society provides information and support for everyone affected by dementia and is researching for treatments for today and a cure for tomorrow.

In the meantime by learning about dementia and understanding the many ways it can affect people, the business community can be a supportive and welcoming place. We all come into contact with people with dementia, whether they are family or friends, neighbours, acquaintances, or customers, and becoming a Dementia Friend gives a person of any age the confidence to be supportive of people affected by dementia through better communication and improved understanding.
