Business on Board

Are you interested in sharing your skills with the voluntary and community sector? If you are, then please keep reading!


Six months ago, fifteen young people from businesses in Northern Ireland volunteered to be part of this pilot project – giving their time and using their skills to sit on the board of a community or voluntary organisation.

Young People on Board is an innovative and exciting programme designed to help young people (aged 18 – 30) take up leadership positions by matching them with a charitable or local community organisation in or with deprived communities, empowering them to make a positive impact and valuable contribution within their own communities.

This event celebrated the successes to date:

Our Business on Board programme aims to increase business representation on the boards and management committees of VCSE organisation which will undoubtedly strengthen the not-for-profit sector in Northern Ireland.
