What Business in the Community is doing?

Business in the Community NI is currently launching Business Action on Climate. The project is a new collaborative campaign that will put Northern Ireland businesses at the forefront of Action on the Climate Emergency. Together with the CBI, FSB, IoD and NI Chamber, we have developed a campaign that will be centred around a Pledge for organisations to take. Alongside this challenge, we will offer support to help meet the target set by the Pledge. We aim to help organisations measure, report and communicate their progress to key stakeholders. In addition, we aim to provide education and offsetting opportunities.

Six companies have agreed to come together as our Climate Champions, and to form a steering committee to help us shape this campaign, define the Pledge and our offer to support organisations on their journey. The campaign will officially launch in April with the first (virtual) meeting of the steering committee and a press launch.
