Asda Enniskillen pulls together to support local care homes

Community Champion Simon Harron and his Asda Enniskillen colleagues came together this week to support staff at Gran Nursing Home, Millverne Residential Care Home and County Care Home with a donation of facemasks.

Simon Harron, Asda Enniskillen Community Champion, explained:

“My colleagues and I are delighted to support our local care homes in this way. They do such an amazing job – so we’re only too pleased to help.”

The three nursing homes are within three and a half miles of Asda Enniskillen. Representatives from each home explained how the donation has impacted them.

Lorraine Gilroy, Graan Abbey Care Home said, “We received 150 masks from Asda Enniskillen this week, and we just cannot thank the store and colleagues enough. These masks will be split between our two units, ensuring all of our staff members are protected as they go about their working day.”

Christine Corrigan, Millverne Residential Care Home commented, “Having a supply of PPE is so important and we are very grateful to Asda for this donation. It’s been wonderful to have the support of our fellow key workers.”

The medical grade face masks are being donated to help protect care workers and vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Caroline McCrea, County Care Home added, “The County Care home would like to thank Asda for their generous donation of 200 face masks. These will be of great benefit in helping to protect our staff as they work. We want to offer our sincere thanks for their kindness and generosity.”
