Still Ready for Work: Support For Employment Workshops

The Still Ready for Work programme supports workers aged 50+ to remain in or return to work; helping them to have enough income, stay connected and enjoy a fuller working life.

As part of the programme We are running a number of FREE online Support For Employment Workshops to assist with getting people over 50 back into work.

Individuals can sign up to one or all of the workshops which cover topics that can help you to seek out and secure the employment you want, including: CVs & Skills, Job Search & Applications; Interviews; Digital Skills; and more.

The workshops are delivered by professional trainers and will be lively and interactive. You are welcome to join in as much as you want, or just listen and learn. The workshops will give you hints, tips and insight into getting a job that is right for you. They will help you stay motivated, confident and connected as you prepare for your next steps into work.

The workshops will be delivered online via Zoom and are catered for people with all levels of IT literacy, once you have registered you will be sent more information via email, including  link to join you chosen workshop/s.

You will need a tablet or PC with access to the internet.

Skills, CVs & Cover Letters | Tuesday 20 April 2.00 – 3.30pm

This FREE online workshop will focus on the skills necessary for the world of work: assessing skills and writing and tailoring a CV that will be attractive to employers and recruiters. Click here to sign up.

This FREE online workshop on Thursday 25 February at 2pm will focus on where to look for employment opportunities, the effective use of recruitment agencies and tips to complete applications, both hard copy and electronic. Click here to sign up.

This FREE online workshop for people over 50 will focus on selling yourself in interviews, common interview techniques, considering traditional in-person interviews and more modern online methods. Click here to sign up.
