Acting Director of Rehabilitation Northern Ireland Prison Service and Head of Reducing Offending Division, Department of Justice
Steven joined the Civil Service in 1982 and has held a range of posts in the Northern Ireland Office and Department of Justice (DoJ) in relation to operational, programme and project management and policy roles. He also spent three years on secondment as Clerk of Business in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Steven is currently Acting Director of Rehabilitation, Northern Ireland Prison Service and Head of Reducing Offending Division in the DoJ, with responsibility for a range of policy matters, including Rehabilitation; Strengthening Family Relations; Women’s Strategy; Education, Skills and Employability; Youth Justice Policy; Restorative Justice; and delivery of the overarching Programme for Government commitments on Reducing Reoffending.
