Charlotte has worked in research, evaluation and social value assessment with businesses, academics, funders and charities for 30 years. Bean Research was established in 2012, to specialise in evaluation and impact assessment for organisations and charities. Since 2020, Bean has been working with on the age at work program to evaluate the difference made to the older people and businesses involved.
Prior to setting up Bean Research, Charlotte was Research Director at Business in the Community for eleven years researching key response for business issues, developing the CR Index (now Responsible Business Tracker), and assessing the impact of its 20+ programmes on people, organisations and society. Before that, Charlotte was Director of Corporate Reputation and responsible business research at Ipsos MORI.
Charlotte teaches social impact assessment and social entrepreneurship at Cranfield University School of Management, an Accredited Practitioner of Social Value UK, a Fellow of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, a Life Fellow of the RSA, and mother of two teenage children.
