Elena Aceves-Cully | EHS Manager, Woven

Elena has developed wide experience in health, safety, environmental, quality and facilities management over the last 23 years in various types and sizes of organisations, including the public, private and voluntary sectors, always with a keen passion for the environment and environmental sustainability.

Holding two Law Degrees from Queen’s University and the Spanish open university (UNED) as well as other health, safety and administrative management qualifications, she completed IEMA’s Certificate in Environmental Management and attained IEMA’s Practitioner Membership in 2014 and has helped out several organisations to achieve and maintain ISO 2014 Certification.

Her most recent and current experience is within the NI Social Housing sector, where she has passionately embraced the opportunity to both reduce her organisation (Woven Housing) carbon emissions (working towards Net Zero) and implement biodiversity and nature enhancing projects in our housing schemes and offices. She is also a committed Marine Conservation Society’s Volunteer, organising periodic beach cleans in her local area and the founder member and current Chair of the Larne Line Passenger Group (a lobbying organisation for better railway services on the Larne Railway Line).
