Director of Education, Skills and Community Engagement
Claire oversees all education and employability activity which falls under our Place theme. She leads an experienced and highly-skilled team to impact on two key themes: raising the aspirations and achievements of children and young people in schools, and; supporting some of the most disadvantaged to move into meaningful work. Our education and skills work helps broker meaningful links between businesses and education settings and employability providers, aiming to help people prepare for and thrive in the world of work, and supporting employers to implement best practice in their outreach, recruitment and learning and development support.
Claire is also a relationship manager for a range of Business in the Community member companies to help them effectively plan and implement impactful CR efforts. Claire has almost 20 years’ experience working locally, regionally and internationally on community and education development projects, in collaboration with the public, private and voluntary, community and social economy sectors.
