Pollinators are animals that help plants reproduce by transferring pollen from one flower to another. This process is essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems by enabling plants to reproduce, which supports wildlife habitats and food sources.

Diverse plant life supported by pollinators can improve soil health and water retention, helping landscapes withstand climate change. Businesses in agriculture, food and retail rely on crops that are dependent on pollinators and a decline in pollinators can disrupt supply chains, increase costs, and reduce product availability.

Implementing pollinator-friendly initiatives demonstrates responsible business leadership, is crucial for the sustainability of businesses and creates an opportunity to engage staff and local communities.

About this webinar

At this 45-minute webinar, you’ll hear from Sarah Kelly, Business and Biodiversity Officer, National Biodiversity Data Centre, on pollinators and the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, a framework bringing together different sectors across the island of Ireland to create a landscape where pollinators can survive and thrive.
