About this session
Joe- Anne Angus is a yoga instructor and therapist who discovered yoga 20 years ago and enjoyed it for the physical workout. Later on, whilst working in a high-pressured job she found herself practicing more frequently because it helped her de-stress, self-regulate and build strength both physically and mentally.
The benefits of yoga and other therapies for managing work and life stress have since become her main focus.
“For me, yoga is about strength, balance and flexibility. I teach Hatha yoga encompassing body, mind and soul. My classes include postures, breathing techniques and meditation. My goal is to enable people to self-regulate and access their parasympathetic system which conserves energy as it slows the heart rate, reduces stress in the body and is known to relieve anxiety.”
