Caregiver stress can be particularly damaging, since it is typically a chronic, long-term challenge.

Many people have responsibilities for other people, and sometimes this duty can become extremely stressful and demanding. This ‘Caring for the Carer’ four-week series of workshops, facilitated by Wellness Coach Anne Costello in partnership with #RETHINK, will help carers to take care of themselves, in order to provide effective care to others, giving people with caring responsibilities the tools and tips to reduce their stress.

Attendees should register for the series, but are not required to join all sessions.

The series will support carers to:

  • Strengthen focus, memory, and increase mental flexibility
  • Build resilience in times of stress, to support the ability to be present for themselves and others.
  • Shift self-defeating habits and thoughts and work with difficult emotions, without getting overwhelmed
  • Cultivate patience and self-compassion whilst developing empathy and effective communication with others
