About this session

Exclusively for Business in the Community members, this free session will focus on three issues that will enable you to gain a greater understanding of drug and alcohol misuse, and how to both support colleagues and address this in the workplace.

1. How drugs and alcohol have such a big impact and the use and effects of substance use.

2. Substance abuse and the implications on staff health and well-being, health and safety in the workplace, and HR policies and procedures.

3. How ASCERT can provide support to your organisation around substance misuse, mental health, suicide awareness, best HR practice & other relevant consultancy and intervention services.

ASCERT is a regional charity and one of the largest providers of drug and alcohol services in Northern Ireland. We have more than 20 years’ experience in providing education, training, youth and family intervention services within large public service contracts, and individual services for community, voluntary, statutory, and private sector clients. ASCERT has access to a large pool of trainers and this collective expertise allows it to develop bespoke training.
