In the second webinar of this Spring inspirational series, Géraldine Noé, Head of Environment at Business in the Community NI will be joined by Power NI and SONI – BITC Climate Champions – to understand how both organisations are supporting their businesses clients to decarbonise their energy supply.

This webinar series is part of the BITC Business Action on Climate campaign, aimed at challenging and supporting businesses to address the climate emergency. As part of the campaign BITC is asking businesses to sign the Climate Action Pledge, a public commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. To change everything we need everyone.

The webinar is suitable for anyone with environment or corporate responsibility aspects to their role, and senior staff members interested in learning more about how their organisation can take action to address to climate emergency. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.

Mark Wiggins, Commercial Product Innovation Lead, Power NI

Mark Wiggins is the Commercial Product Innovation Lead within Power NI and heads up any potential new products or services in which the company offer outside of a standard commercial electricity contract.  Mark’s ultimate remit is to understand customer needs and wants to provide customer solutions no matter how simple or indeed complex.  Mark is a big advocate for the Business in The Community Climate Campaign and will share some insights as to what Power NI are doing in order to help their clients with decarbonisation measures and the current role Power NI play as a modern customer centric utility company.

Alan Campbell, Interim Managing Director, SONI

Alan Campbell, Interim Managing Director, SONI

Alan Campbell was appointed as Interim Managing Director of SONI in October 2020 and to the SONI Board in December 2020. Alan joined SONI in July 2017 as Head of Grid Infrastructure Projects and Connections from ESB where he was responsible for managing its 400MW Coolkeeragh Power Station in the North West.  Alan graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his career at AstraZeneca in England before joining ESB. Alan has over 18 years’ experience working in the electricity industry.
