Celebrating Safer Internet Day

Celebrating Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 5 February; Leslie Smyth from Department of Finance (centre) with (l-r) Paul McClurg, Bank of Ireland; Ian Stitt, Barclays; Hilary Hanberry, Business in the Community; Craig Swann, Danske Bank; Helen O’Hara, Barclays; Amanda Moore, Halifax and Siobhan Lowe, Ulster Bank

These banks opened their doors to the public on Safer Internet Day, providing advice, support and tips on how to stay safe when banking online; as part of the Department’s Go ON NI initiative. With over 8% of adults never having used the internet in 2018, it is vital that we reach out to the public. Supported by the Department of Finance, Business in the Community organises a range of activities to help bridge this digital divide.
