Telestack helps enhance wellbeing with new partnership
Telestack is delighted to announce that as part of our 2017 Health and Wellbeing Strategy, we have joined forces with the leading local wellbeing charity Inspire, the new name for Niamh (Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health). Inspire will be the primary beneficiary of all donations made from charitable work for 2017.
The campaign was kicked off by establishing Telestack as an ‘Inspiration Point’ for wellbeing in our local community. The Inspiration Point campaign is part of the charity’s overall aim to broaden its reach and to ensure that everyone has access to information about mental health and general wellbeing. Nuala Dalcz, Director of External Affairs at Inspire wellbeing explains “unfortunately there is still a stigma that surrounds mental health and by providing easily accessible information in high traffic public venues, we hope to reach even more people than before. Throughout the year, the charity will regularly update the information within the Inspiration Point stands to focus on a range of themes across all aspects of life, form ageing to motherhood, sports to rural life.”
As a supporter of the campaign, Telestack is making a pledge to have easily accessible information available for employees and to work with Inspire to promote the charity’s vision of wellbeing for all. Speaking about why they decided to become an Inspiration Point partner, Eimear Cunningham, HR Manager with Telestack explains, “we take our responsibility as an employer very seriously and we recognise that our obligation to our employees extends beyond a safe working environment. We want to make every effort to ensure that our employees are healthy and happy and our partnership with Inspire better equips us to support our workforce in every way possible.”
The 2017 charity work has started in earnest with a very successful coffee morning that raised over £570 and with more events planned, the company are looking forward to a buoyant 2017 in terms of fundraising. Just some of the events planned are:
- Cuilcagh Mountain – 25 March
- Abseil, Europa Hotel – 9 April
- 5k Walk/Run, Castle Archdale – 29 April
- Charity Golf Tournament – 11 & 12 May
- Ladies Night – 14 July
The success of our fundraising events is only made possible through our employees and their family and friends. We wish to thank everyone who kindly contributed and attended our coffee morning and a special mention of thanks to Samantha Thompson the primary organiser of the event.
