Peter McVerry, U105 Station Manager said:

“These are superb results and a fantastic way for us to celebrate our 10th birthday in the coming weeks.

“Our 211,000 weekly reach is the result of the talent and dedication of the wonderful team we have here at the station, both on-air and off-air, in tandem with the fantastic support we receive from our loyal listeners and advertisers.

“With Maurice Jay on Breakfast through Frank Mitchell on U105 Morning, Carolyn Stewart at Lunchtime, Johnny Hero on Drive and Jerry Lang every night, U105 has proved a massive success with listeners since we went on-air on November 14, 2005.

“Our wonderful weekend line-up, the breadth of music, up-to-date incisive news and the overall focus on our audience have all combined to help us create a distinctive product in a very competitive market.

“It has been a memorable decade for everyone here and we plan to celebrate our 10th birthday in style with some fantastic giveaways on-air as thank you to our loyal listeners.”
