‘Capita and Me’ engages communities - Business In The Community

‘Capita and Me’ engages communities

Capita HR Solutions Ireland works in partnership with clients to create better business outcomes providing end-to-end HR services for the full employee lifecycle.

Background
From transactional services through to organisation transformation, Capita HR uses flexible approaches to maximise the performance of Human Resources functions driving greater efficiencies for businesses.

What Capita HR Solutions Ireland did
Operating in an employee-driven sector, Capita HR Solutions fully appreciates the links between effective internal employee engagement and a developed corporate social responsibility strategy. This approach is formalised through its ‘Capita and Me’ initiative which is sponsored by senior management and shaped by its employees.

Given the excellent synergy between The Prince’s Trust and Capita as an HR Solutions provider, a strategic decision was taken by the ‘Capita & Me’ team (based on employee feedback) to focus CSR efforts and implement a bespoke fundraising and volunteering programme for The Prince’s Trust. The programme provides charity and employer supported volunteering opportunities ranging from professional HR skills sharing and mentoring opportunities with The Prince’s Trust to volunteering slots with the NI Hospice, Cash for Kids and homelessness drives, etc.

To ensure a fully inclusive CSR programme with everyone’s buy in, while the focus was primarily The Princes Trust, the company recognised that it should balance this with continuing to support local charities connected to its employees and, ones where relationships had already been established.
