What Coca-Cola did
Giving back has always been part of the way Coca-Cola does business, supporting communities through the provision of time, resources, expertise, volunteering, funding and in-kind support.
Community investment is a strategic platform for CCHBC and is leveraged across three key areas; (1) Community wellbeing, (2) Promoting environmental stewardship, and (3) Supporting youth development. Together with its responsible approach to sales and marketing, these platforms form its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which is an important part of its overall annual company business plan.
Coca-Cola invests in initiatives that will help to make a real and lasting difference in local communities, including public bike schemes supported by Coca-Cola Zero, its £100k Thank You Fund that aims to empower young people, and Clean Coast programmes, encouraging environmental stewardship and pride in our coastline.
Other projects include: Coca-Cola Designated Driver; Coca-Cola Visitors Experience; Community Support Programme; Coca-Cola HBC Our Charity Programme; Coca-Cola Lisburn Half Marathon; Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon; Cola Grand Opera House Summer Youth Programme; Coca-Cola Lisburn and Castlereagh Mayor’s Bursary; Adopt a Spot Programme; and its 2020 Sustainability Commitments.
