Multi-Packaging Solutions - Business In The Community

Multi-Packaging Solutions

Multi-Packaging Solutions (MPS) is a global supplier of quality packaging to the Pharmaceutical/ Healthcare, Branded Food and Drink, and Media sectors.

Background

The Belfast site has a long local history of manufacturing quality printed packaging products for the world’s leading brands. MPS has always been a conscientious, reliable, and highly respected local employer widely recognised as a valuable contributor to the community.

What Multi-Packaging Solutions did

Multi-Packaging Solutions is committed to increasing the knowledge prowess of young people currently in education for their long-term personal benefit. MPS underwrites this commitment by deploying and implementing target programmes and activities that have verifiable benefit to the recipients in each of its partnerships. Multi-Packaging Solutions has three key education partnerships with CAFRE, Loughry College Campus; St Louise’s Comprehensive College; and Ballyclare Secondary School. The action plans for each have been shaped and developed through strategic planning meetings and reviews.

MPS recognises that the student of today is tomorrow’s colleague and thus recognises that investment in education is a meaningful investment in the next generation. The local team is championed by the Technical and Human Resource Managers who lead on and volunteer much of their time to the education partnerships and programmes. MPS has been involved in Business in the Community’s Business Class programme formally for seven years and has invested both time and money in ensuring the needs of their business class partners are fully met.

Activities undertaken by MPS have included workplace site visits, tailored work experience placements, business case studies for GCSE modules, careers talks, fundraising support, art projects, sponsored attendance projects and STEM projects.
