PRM Group shaping Northern Ireland’s future business leaders

PRM Group, one of Ireland’s largest chilled food sales and distribution companies has partnered with Young Enterprise NI, a local educational charity to help shape Northern Ireland’s future business leaders.

What PRM Group did

Employees from all aspects of the business have been volunteering in local schools, both primary and secondary, engaging with students and educating them on the Irish Food Industry, specifically the excitement and diversity that comes with working within FMCG.

Impacts

Overall, PRM Group’s partnership with Young Enterprise NI has had a profound effect on both the volunteers and the students.

The team’s volunteering efforts within the primary sector have allowed pupils to gain a greater understanding of their city’s economy, and the impact that local businesses have through the ‘Our City’ programme. The P7 pupils have successfully set up and run their own business, gaining essential team work skills and knowledge through the ‘Business Beginnings’ programme.

Within the secondary education sectors, PRM Group employees advised students on their future career and assisted them during the very important time of AS Level subject selection, through the ‘Learn to Earn’ programme.
