  • Environmental Officer (maternity cover 9-12 month contract with possible extension)

    We are at a tipping point in terms of our planet and its survival. Governments, businesses, and civic society all have a responsibility to effect change. Business in the Community’s role is to influence that change and to coordinate the voice and actions of business on environmental matters.

    In this position, the Environmental Officer will become an integral part of our expanding team, actively engaging with Northern Ireland businesses to tackle crucial environmental concerns like climate change. Responsibilities include establishing and overseeing environmental initiatives, such as the Climate Action Pledge, as well as developing resources and guidance for businesses.

    This is a fixed-term 9-12 month contract subject to extension.  It is a full-time position, though part-time hours will be considered.

    The salary is £23K – £25K per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits: pension, cash-back health scheme, parking, and paid holidays. (note pension and health scheme available at the end of a successful 6-month probation period)
