Senior Lecturer in Finance, Queen’s University Belfast

Dr Lisa Bradley is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Queen’s University Belfast, and Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

As the former Head of the Department of International Business at Ulster University, Lisa presented at the Irish Times Innovation Cities Roadshow, Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast, Women in Business Masterclass and Podiem Raise your Game Conferences.

Lisa champions the discipline of Finance. Her research focuses on International Finance, Islamic finance, Regional Economic Growth, and SME leadership and development. She proactively demonstrates leadership, positivity, innovation and creativity when faced with the challenges of the Higher Education environment, such as: improving the retention, engagement, employability and progression of students; and supporting, mentoring and promoting academic and administrative staff.

Lisa supports local leaders to prepare for and understand the economic implications of BREXIT and is passionate about equality of opportunity, raising aspirations and supporting leaders at all levels reach their full potential.

In 2013, Lisa set up a Community Business Academy to support non-traditional pathways into Higher Education and she has developed an extensive business network. In 2017 she developed, and is currently the coordinator for, the North West Higher Education and Refugee project (NW HEART). In 2019, Lisa also took on the coordinator role for One City One Voice and ASSIST projects, working with local schools.

A fourth dan black belt in Judo, twice World Master Athlete champion and Commonwealth Games silver medallist, Lisa often shares her experience in both academia and performance sport with businesses leaders.
