Support for Community

How can volunteers support your organisation?

“The support of Business in the Community volunteers has enabled us to expand many of our projects like the Terrace Hill Garden, natural play area and woodland planting.”  Mick Walls, Engagement Ranger, National Trust

We work with businesses from across Northern Ireland to link their skills, expertise and volunteer power to the needs of local communities.  This support can take various forms from hands-on practical support to IT training for your service users.  What’s more, all support is totally free of charge.

“Having help from parties through Business in the Community means work can be completed in a fraction of the time it would normally take us.  The amount of work achieved in one day is very impressive.”  Christine Harper, Manager, Sheil’s House

Every year thousands of volunteers support local communities through hands on practical support, professional skills and IT knowledge.  If you’d like to find out how you can receive support and by accessing one of our volunteer programmes please fill in your details and one of our Community team will be in touch.

“We find the experience of working with BITC positive and the communication with their staff is very effective. BITC are great at matching skilled groups to meet the organisational needs.”  Angela Heddles, Senior Support Worker, Kilcreggan Urban Farm
