What part of your job do you find most interesting or exciting?
Social value would be the most exciting part of the job. This is for both our communities in Northern Ireland, but client communities in England. There are a lot of areas out there struggling, and knowing that we can go that extra step to try and help is very rewarding.
What advice would you give to pupils who are interested in a career in sustainability?
Sustainability is very broad – there are so many different ways to go. Find what you like, what you are passionate about. This could be biodiversity, it could be solar panels, it could be software development, social value, carbon- find what you like, and be a sponge, learn as much as you can.
