Director for Work and Wellbeing Transformation, DfC
As Director for Work and Wellbeing Transformation, Stephen leads on economic inactivity and labour market policy, and delivery of specialist provision that addresses disability and health related barriers to employment.
Priority areas include development of a new 10-year Disability and Work Strategy; a £16m Transformation Project to design a new Work and Health model for NI; delivery of a range of Health and Work Support Programmes; and is Senior Sponsor for Ulster Supported Employment Limited (USEL), an ALB who specialises in supporting those with disabilities to find and retain work.
A former Civil Engineer, Stephen joined the Public Sector in 2013 and has worked across The NI Environment Agency; Department for Culture, Arts and Leisure; Department for Social Development; and the Strategic Investment Board; with oversight for a range of social policies, service delivery, grant schemes, and projects, including the Harkin International Disability Employment Summit in Belfast in 2024.
