What does a typical day or week in your role look like?
Split work week working on site at our Primal factory in Dungannon, also carry out farm visits and represent industry on a number of stakeholder meetings. Also required to travel to UK and Ireland to meet with customers and other factory sites.
What part of your job do you find most interesting or exciting?
Working with farmers improving their own farm sustainability through improvements in livestock, grassland management.
What advice would you give to pupils who are interested in a career in sustainability?
Sustainability is quickly becoming important in all careers so it is definitely a good area to become involved in. Sustainability is not just about the environment; it is about finding the balance between environmental, social and economic pillars and how to ensure the business is resilient to change and time.
