Work Inspiration is a national, employer-led campaign designed to make work experience more meaningful, relevant, and inspiring for young people. The programme bridges the gap between students’ expectations of working life and the skills and insights employers seek in future recruits. It combines five-day work placements with a range of inspirational, business-focused activities.
Eligibility: This programme is available only to students currently attending school in Northern Ireland.
Work Inspiration opens the door for young people to explore careers with confidence and curiosity, supported by real-world experiences and guidance from employers. Each year, we engage thousands of students in a wide range of careers and employability activities—including virtual careers sessions, in-person work experience placements, and other impactful opportunities. We also collaborate with a broad network of schools and colleges to deliver these meaningful experiences and inspire future career pathways.
Please note: We DO NOT accept requests from parents. All requests must come via a school Careers Teacher. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to parental or individual requests.

A FOCUS ON . . . HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE TRUSTS
Our programme works closely with four Health Trusts in Northern Ireland. You can find out more about each of these, what we’ve done in the past and what’s on offer.
“Inspiring young people to become the future workforce is important for every employer. You can’t be what you can’t see. It is vital that students get to experience as many opportunities as they progress from their educational journey into the world of work. We support organisations and schools to do just that..”
