George Mullan studied Business Studies at the University of Ulster before commencing his career with ABP Food Group. He has worked for ABP Food Group for over 30 years and has managed facilities in Longford, Ravensdale and Clones. Previously, he worked at the ABP facilities in Cahir and Waterford. He played a central role in ABP’s entry into the Polish beef processing sector; and was involved in the company’s initial acquisitions there.
Currently as Managing Director of ABP in Northern Ireland, George has responsibility for its entire beef and lamb processing operations which encompasses ABP Newry and Lurgan; Linden Foods, Dungannon; and Kettyle Irish Foods, Fermanagh. He is the Chairman of the Northern Ireland Food & Drink Association (NIFDA), a member-led organisation committed to maximising the sustainable growth potential of Northern Ireland’s food and drink industry. He is also Chairman of Life Beyond, a programme which provides bereavement support to farming families.
