Energy Management team, the Department for the Economy
Tom Agnew works in Energy Management team (EMT) within the Department for the Economy (DfE). EMT leads on the implementation of the Energy Management Strategy and Action Plan to 2030 for Northern Ireland Central Government (EMS) which aims to reduce Energy usage across the NI Government estate, ongoing projects include the Energy Carbon Data Repository and Energy Invest to Save fund.
EMT alongside Invest NI, leads on delivery of the Energy Efficiency Capital Grant Scheme which is a grant aimed at helping businesses reduce emissions and lower their energy demand through the installation of energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies.
Tom has been in Energy group for 8 years holding previous roles in RHI operations and Communications. He has been in his current role for over a year.
