Communications and External Affairs Manager, UTV
Olivia Johnston has been UTV’s Communications and External Affairs Manager since 2017, responsible for developing and implementing a full spectrum Communications strategy to ensure that UTV remains one of Northern Ireland’s leading brands, communicating and engaging with key stakeholders. UTV became part of ITV in 2016, and as a result she is part of the wider ITV Communications team, ensuring ITV’s communications goals and objectives are met at a local level.
Olivia has a BA (Hons) degree in European Business Studies with French, from University of Humberside and Ecole Superieure de Commerce, Bordeaux.
She has over 25 years’ experience in corporate PR and Communications, having worked for some of NI’s leading companies, NIR/Translink, NIE/Viridian Group, Bombardier, and Musgrave Retail Partners NI (SuperValu Centra Mace). Prior to joining UTV, she spent seven years freelancing in Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and England, for clients in the legal, FMCG, health and manufacturing sectors.
Outside of work, Olivia is mum to two very large, messy but loving sons, Patrick and Ross. She loves to travel, dine out and socialise with friends and family in equal measure.
