Property Maintenance, Engineering and Environmental Management, Danske Bank

Neill graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast and in the early part of his career worked for Dale Farm developing sustainable packaging solutions coupled with responsibility for the project engineering and maintenance functions of the Dale Farm facilities, including environmental reporting and carbon reduction projects.

In 2012 Neill took on the role of Maintenance Manager at Queen’s University Belfast, latterly managing all the Accommodation, Sport, Childcare and Students’ Union facilities. He developed maintenance strategies and drove significant change to introduce a full in house maintenance team. His time at Queen’s was marked with a drive to increase labour efficiency through the development of a bespoke computer aided facilities management system and playing a key role in utility monitoring and management.

At Danske Bank, Neill has responsibility for property maintenance, engineering and environmental management. He is working towards the banks ambition of net zero and has enjoyed seeing the impact the carbon reduction projects have had on the banks emissions and also the impact the biodiversity initiatives have had on the wider community.

When not in work Neill can be found on two legs or two wheels – using the car as a last resort!
