New Partnership Brings Women’s Health to the Forefront of Workplace Wellbeing

Business in the Community Northern Ireland (BITCNI) has announced a new partnership with BodyTalk Live to support Body Talk Live Women, a dedicated women’s health event taking place on 7 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast.

The partnership brings together BITCNI’s 35-year track record of supporting responsible business with BodyTalk Live’s experience in delivering evidence‑based, accessible health events led by leading medical and allied health professionals from across the UK and island of Ireland.

BodyTalk Live Women will run from 8:30am to 5:00pm and is designed for organisations that recognise women’s health as a business‑critical component of inclusive workplace wellbeing, workforce participation and retention.

Recent workplace research highlights persistent gaps in support for women’s health. Women experience shorter healthy working lives than men, report rising levels of work‑related ill health and are more likely to feel unsupported or not taken seriously when health concerns arise. Life‑stage and gender‑specific challenges such as menopause, menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy loss and gynaecological conditions remain under‑addressed across many organisational wellbeing strategies.
Bod Talk Live Women 2026 has been developed to help employers respond to this challenge with practical insight, credible evidence and actionable solutions.

Speaking about the partnership, Catherine Downey, Wellbeing Programme Manager for Business in the Community said:

“Women’s health is no longer a marginal workplace issue. The evidence shows clear links to attendance, engagement, progression and retention. Through this partnership with BodyTalk Live, we can support employers to move from awareness to action and embed women’s health into everyday workplace practice.”

Dr Carla Devlin MB BcH BAO DMH MRCGP MSc, BodyTalk Live Co-Founder and NHS & Private GP added:

“Women’s health has real, lived impacts on working life, yet too often it’s treated as separate from organisational wellbeing. Partnering with Business in the Community allows us to bring credible medical insight, practical tools and workplace‑focused conversations directly to the organisations that can make the biggest difference.”

The event programme will include:

  • Expert‑led sessions on mental health, gut health, hormone balance, gynaecology, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal health
  • Live Q&A clinics and practical demonstrations, including fitness and pelvic health
  • A networking and exhibition zone showcasing workplace wellbeing solutions
  • A strong focus on the organisational role in supporting women’s health, not just individual self‑management

Business in the Community Northern Ireland supports more than 270 member organisations and is the region’s largest business‑led coalition dedicated to responsible business. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing inclusive wellbeing and helping employers address women’s health as a systemic workplace issue.
