Prestigious 2022 Awards for responsible businesses opens for entries

Responsible businesses in Northern Ireland are being called to submit entries to the 2022 Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland

Responsible business network Business in the Community has launched the 2022 Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland and is keen to see entries from businesses large and small and from every sector in ten categories, before the submission deadline 5:00 pm on Friday 29 April.

The awards are open for entry from 1 February 2022. Click here to enter.

Kieran Harding, Managing Director, Business in the Community says: “Responsible businesses in Northern Ireland are making a real difference to their people, the planet, and the places where they operate.

“This annual Awards event is our opportunity to proudly showcase these organisations as innovative responsible business leaders, to inspire others, and it enables us to celebrate and reward those companies going beyond profit to be a force for good.”

The Awards are taking place in partnership with keynote sponsor Henry Brothers, event partner JP Corry, drinks sponosor Diageo, and in association with Ulster Business and U105.

The 10 Awards categories are free to enter and range in theme, from diversity and wellbeing in the workplace and recognising those who are working for the benefit of the community and/or young people, through to those companies who develop products that inspire sustainable lifestyles or are leading on climate action.

Two new categories have been introduced in 2022, the Climate Action Award for the organisation that best demonstrates a significant commitment and contribution to climate action in Northern Ireland, and the Fair Chance for All Award for the organisation that is understanding and removing barriers to work for disadvantaged groups and helping them become more work ready.

Awards winners in 2022 will be announced at a glitzy gala event at the ICC Belfast on 8 September.

Mr Harding continued: “It is always truly inspiring to read the Awards entries every year and competition for the top spots can be tight – even to be shortlisted is a real achievement.

“In 2022 we make a return to the ICC Belfast for the Awards gala event, on 8 September, and we are looking forward to announcing the winners and celebrating in style with our guests – the people that make responsible business happen!”

Any organisation can enter the Awards for free via the online platform. Business in the Community is running two ‘How to make a great Awards entry’ webinars on 22 February and 15 March. Visit www.bitcni.org.uk/awards to enter and to find out more.
