Veolia’s contribution to sustainable healthcare recognised

Veolia is delighted to announce that their work in making the healthcare sector more sustainable through their Energy Performance Contracts was recognised as they won the Sustainable Organisation of the Year Award.

IHEEM, the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management, held their combined Ireland and Northern Ireland conference and exhibition in Croke Park on the 16-17 May 2022.

These contracts have delivered significant cost and carbon savings to both private and public healthcare facilities in Ireland over many years. In particular, Veolia’s work with the Mater Hospital and St James’s Hospital in Dublin is leading the way in helping major public hospitals meet carbon reduction targets, improve the patient environment and reduce costs.

In addition, Veolia also won the Sustainability Champion award. The judges described their stand as “a great example of paper free yet informative with a full scope of our services available to view in an innovative and sustainable way”.

Veolia is delighted they have been recognised as a leader in the area of sustainability. Their work with the healthcare sector is delivering strong results in the areas of energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
