Zing Group continues their support to the community with their School Enhancement Programme in 2024

Zing Group contributes to educational environments through their School enhancement programme, which involves both exterior and interior building upgrades, aimed at creating a more conducive learning space for Primary School students and staff alike.

This initiative is to improve facilities and help ensure schools are equipped with modern amenities that foster educational excellence. This year, Bunscoil an tSléibhe Dhuibh Primary School was selected for their program, collaborating closely with the School’s principal to identify impactful improvements. The outcome included complete exterior landscaping, building wash and fresh internal painting of the dining hall and corridors.

Mark Barr, Director of Zing Group said: “Zing Group is dedicated to enhancing the educational and recreational experiences of children by selecting one school each year to receive these resources and make a positive difference in the kids learning and play. This reflects the company’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility”

Pilib Misteil, School Principal at Bunscoil an tSléibhe Dhuibh shows his appreciation: “A while ago Máirtín Ó Muilleoir phoned me and asked me if there was any maintenance work that was needed around the school, if I had a list? A company called Zing would be happy to do some work free of charge as part of their annual community work. I was curious, and maybe a bit doubtful about this free lunch!

Mark and a few of his Zing colleagues arrived in the school sometime later and we agreed on a list of works that The Zing Group would carry out, involving pressure washing, plastering, painting and putting up boards. This company carried out an excellent job, for free, of such a high Standard from a very Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly Staff.

The school looks amazing now, where a year ago it looked a bit dreary and run-down. We are very grateful to the Zing Group for their generosity and for being such a community-facing company”.

Mark Nurse, Field Technician commented: “At Zing Group, we take great joy in offering our services to schools that truly benefit from and value them”.

Zing Group apply to one junior school year which comprises of improvements to their buildings and playgrounds who started this voluntary service in 2022 before shortly joining BITCNI.
