You do not need to attend every workshop –  you can choose which workshops are relevant to you.

We will cover the following in each of the workshops:

Assess your Skillset | This workshop looks at identifying your skills and abilities, so you know what skills you currently have and can match these with the employment opportunities you want. We will also look at any skills gaps you may have and consider what you can do to build up the skills you do not yet have for the roles you want.

Job Searching in the Digital Age | We will consider where you can search for work on digital and online platforms. We will look at recruitment agencies and online platforms such as Indeed, alongside social platforms such as LinkedIn. We will also consider other ways of finding work, for example, through your social network.

CV Creation | In this workshop, we will help you to create, tailor and refine your CV to ensure your information is relevant, up-to-date, and what employers are looking for. We will also be able to advise you on what to remove, ensuring that everything on your CV is relevant, and we will look at how to lay out your CV, whether it is chronological or skills-based.

Interview Skills | If you would like to brush up on your interview technique, this workshop will be suited to you. As well as in-person interviews we will also cover online/Zoom interviews, and how to make sure you present yourself well. Competency based interviews and the STAR method will covered in this session.

Practical Skills | These two sessions are practical sessions to run through anything you specifically need to work on. For example, we may go over your CV, refine your interview techniques for an upcoming interview, or you may need further help considering your skills and the sort of jobs you want to apply for. We only suggest attending these if you have already attended one of our other workshops, so you have something specific to work on.
