Climate Action Programme in partnership with Danske Bank

About the Climate Action Programme

The Climate Action Programme is part of Business in the Community’s  Business Action on Climate campaign to reach and support  SME businesses (fewer than 250 employees) who will, via the programme:

  • make a commitment to address the climate emergency
  • reduce their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
  • sign the Climate Action Pledge

Furthermore, the programme will help participating businesses to build capacity, assist with net-zero planning, and increase levels of reporting and capacity building to enable delivery of immediate and long-term climate action.

Business in the Community NI’s partnership with Danske Bank

The Climate Action Programme is based on a pilot programme developed in partnership with Danske Bank that helps businesses transition towards more sustainable business strategies.

The climate action journey

With thanks to support from Danske Bank, organisations can embark on a eight-week programme to kick-start their climate-transition journey.

Whether you’re just beginning or already taking steps towards net zero, this programme will provide the tools, guidance, and support you need to:

  • Measure your current carbon footprint
  • Set science-based emissions targets
  • Develop an actionable climate strategy
  • Engage your team and stakeholders
  • Future-proof your business against climate risks

With a blend of workshops, peer learning, and one-to-one support, participants will leave the programme with a clear roadmap for meaningful climate action.
