The history, science and current practices of nature connection will be woven throughout the session, leaving you with the tools to bring nature connection into your own daily life.
Workshop facilitator Sarah Hourigan of Nature Therapy Ireland will provide up-to-date research that is accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Guidance for helping you connect to nature will be easy to understand and simple to action. Whether you have access to nature imagery, indoor house plants, an urban park, a mountain or woodland, there is no right or wrong way to connect to nature. We invite you to come as you are and engage in a way that feels right for you, whether this is listening and learning or interacting with the group, there will be no expectation from you.
At the workshop, we will cover:
- The role of nature in health and wellbeing
- Nature-based, creative recommendations
- Forest walk visualisation
- Guidance for connecting to nature post-workshop
In advance of the workshop, we ask that you come with an open mind, pen, paper, quiet comfy space and one item from nature (eg. leaf, twig, stone, feather etc.)
