Belfast City Airport’s Community Fund is Flying High
George Best Belfast City Airport is continuing to support a wide range of mental health and wellbeing projects through its award-winning Corporate Responsibility programme.
Through a Community Fund established in 2009, the airport develops partnerships with many community and charity projects across Greater Belfast and beyond – and has invested more than £250,000 of financial support to a wide range of organisations since the fund was set up.
Mental health and wellbeing initiatives are a key focus for the airport, with the 2016 Community Fund calendar featuring events and initiatives aimed at raising the profile and tackling the stigma of mental health illnesses.
Michelle Hatfield, Director of Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility at Belfast City Airport, said:
“We are extremely proud of the support that we offer to our local community. To date we have supported in excess of 100 projects which promote education, environmental awareness, mental wellbeing or an active, healthy lifestyle.
“If organisations have a project they believe could benefit from the support of our Community Fund, please get in touch.”
